Who We Are And What This Covers
Internet Of Doing (IOD) is a SynHy Labs project operated by Gregory Oglethorpe. This policy covers InternetOfDoing.com and IOD-operated services that link to this policy, including business directories, hosted business tools, and requests submitted through our website or supported AI interfaces.
Businesses using IOD are responsible for their own handling of customer information. Their websites, services, and privacy notices may have additional or different terms. When we store or process records on a business’s behalf, that business directs their use for its operations.
Information We Collect
- Information you provide: names, email addresses, phone numbers, business details, account information, addresses, messages, and files you submit.
- Requests and transactions: products or services requested, quotes, appointment preferences, order details, invoices, payment status, and communications about fulfilling a request.
- Business content: listings, catalogs, prices, hours, images, and other information a business supplies or authorizes us to manage.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic or security records generated when you use our services.
- Information from others: information submitted by a business, an authorized representative or AI assistant, transaction updates from service providers, and publicly available business information from directories or other sources.
Please provide only information needed for the task. Do not include Social Security numbers, payment-card details, medical records, or other sensitive information in ordinary messages or service-request fields.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate accounts and business tools; publish requested listings; route, quote, schedule, and fulfill requests; process purchases and maintain transaction records; provide support; communicate about our services; improve reliability; prevent misuse; and meet legal obligations. Public business information may also help us identify businesses that could benefit from IOD and contact them about relevant services.
We use contact details to respond to inquiries and send relevant service communications. You can ask us to stop promotional communications; necessary account, security, or transaction messages may still be sent.
When Information Is Shared
Businesses receiving your requests. When you contact a business, place an order, request a quote, or seek an appointment through IOD, we share the information needed for that business and its authorized personnel to respond and perform the work.
Service matching and paid referrals. If you submit a request through an IOD service-matching or lead-generation page, we may provide your contact details, location, and description of the requested work to companies offering that service. We may receive payment for providing the lead. Those companies may contact you about your request and handle the information under their own privacy policies. Contact us before submitting if you are unsure who will receive your information.
Service providers. Hosting, communications, payment processing, and other technical providers may receive information needed to support the service. IOD and SynHy personnel may access information to provide support and operate these systems.
Legal and organizational needs. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or as part of a business transfer, subject to applicable protections.
Public Listings And AI Assistants
Information intended for a public business listing or catalog can be viewed by visitors, search engines, and AI systems. Only submit material you are authorized to publish. Removing information from IOD does not necessarily remove copies held by other services.
When an AI assistant submits a request, we receive the information it sends to our interface; we do not automatically receive the entire conversation. Information returned through an authorized integration may be received by that assistant and its provider. Your chosen AI provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of conversations and responses. Review the details before authorizing an assistant to act for you.
Our Google integrations support business lookup and keyword research. Keyword research uses service phrases and geographic targets and returns estimated, aggregated search-demand information; it does not identify individual people who searched. Service-account authentication does not give IOD access to visitors’ personal Google accounts.
Payments, Cookies, And Other Services
Where checkout uses Square or another payment provider, payment details are handled through that provider’s payment flow. IOD receives information needed to record and reconcile the transaction, such as payment identifiers, amounts, and status. Review the provider’s privacy notice when entering payment details.
IOD uses cookies and similar browser storage for functions such as sign-in, security, and preserving a shopping or work session. You can manage cookies and stored data through your browser; blocking them may prevent parts of the service from working. Our application does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.
Links, business-supplied content, and external services may send you to providers with their own data practices. This policy does not govern those independent services.
Retention And Security
Retention depends on the purpose of the record, the account or business relationship, operational needs, and applicable obligations. Transaction, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, and security records may need to remain after an account closes. Copies may also remain in backups until those backups are replaced.
We use access controls and other safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep account credentials private and contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. IOD operates from the United States; information may be processed there and wherever the providers supporting the service operate.
Your Choices And Privacy Requests
You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information; ask about disclosures; close an account; or request that we stop promotional contact or future paid sharing of your service requests. Rights to obtain a copy, restrict processing, opt out, or appeal a decision depend on applicable law. We will handle requests according to the requirements that apply and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Email gregory.o@synhy.com with the subject “IOD Privacy Request.” Identify the account, listing, or request involved, but do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents. We may need to verify your identity or authority before disclosing or changing records. We will explain any limitations, including records we must retain. If you disagree with our decision, reply to request a review.
For information controlled by a participating business, contact that business as well. We cannot withdraw information it has already received or control its independent records.
Children And Policy Updates
IOD’s business services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
